WORTH COUNTY, GA - News release from Margaret Jones Public Library
Margaret Jones Public Library is pleased to announce the beginning of “Books and Bubbles.” This is a weekly interactive story time for children ages 18 months to 3 years, accompanied by a caring adult.
Parents/caregivers and toddlers will explore rhyme, rhythm, and word play with stories and activities just right for any inquisitive toddler.
“It’s never too early for your child to acquire and practice the skills that will make him/her a successful reader,” states Library Director Leigh Wiley.
Experiencing wonderful, age-appropriate books, participating in activities filled with rhyme and rhythm, playing with language and sounds, and seeing print all around them is ideal for young children.
All parents and caregivers are invited to join MJPL in this program that is fun and educational and learn how to incorporate early learning into what you do with your child every day.
Stories will be kept short to fit the toddlers’ attention spans and each toddler storytime will be 20 to 30 minutes long on Tuesday mornings.
Books and Bubbles will begin on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 10:30 am in the children’s area of the library. For more information, please call 776-2096. No registration is required.
Also, Preschool Story Time for ages 3-5 resumes on Thursdays at 10 am beginning September 6.
